Who We Are
We are Mike and Dan and for the last 20 years, we’ve been doing a lot of things together: training, racing, drinking too much coffee, and losing our hair at an alarming rate.
We founded Pinnacle Peak Events with the idea that races can and should be fun, different, safe, challenging and rewarding, and not just for the race participants, but for staff, volunteers and sponsors as well. We welcome all levels of athletes at all of our events and we train our staff and volunteers to have all the information you could ever need, especially if you’re a beginner. Between the two of us, we’ve finished over 100 races and we recall the experience more than anything else - more than our places or rankings. Mind you, the experience wasn’t always good! We realized that almost all of those 100-plus race experiences could have been better in some way, and thus, our passion became what you know today as PPE. We are committed to providing you with the smoothest, most seamless, safest and most enjoyable race experience at each and every one of our events. We welcome constructive criticism and continually strive for a better way of planning and staging events.
We believe, as part of being excellent race directors, it’s our responsibility - not just a choice or matter of convenience - to bring the greenest, most forward thinking methods to our race planning.
